The Internet of Food Things describes a broad perspective on the whole of the food production system with a focus on the transformative contribution of digital technology and associated data. With this event, we explore a range of current challenges and opportunities across that landscape.
This will be a virtual event, hosted online with Microsoft Teams, individual registration in advance is necessary in order to participate.
Aims and outcomes
2 panel discussions will be led by the multi-disciplinary leadership team from the IoFT and a selection of guest contributors.
- Session 1: Business-to-business food systems
- Session 2: Consumer-facing food systems
Each session will comprise a selection of invited guests delivering some insight from their fields followed by discussion with IoFT Co-investigators
The overarching topics will be the application of IoT, data and the challenges and opportunities for the food production and supply system.
